Russell Products was founded in 1952 by Russell Dale Rice to provide metal plating services to Cleveland, Ohio manufacturers. Russell operated the company until 1973 when he sold it to Phil Rountree and Robert Evans.
Phil and Bob expanded operations into Akron Ohio by opening Akron Anodizing and DeValera in 1982 and 1984 respectively, and purchasing Falholt Inc., a custom coating shop in 1985. The largest shop was started in 1988, in the old Renner brewery located on North Forge Street focusing on high production jobs in the automotive industry.
In 2013, three long time employees purchased the company from Bob and continue to grow the company sales by being focused on customer service and quality work.
