CHEMICAL / ABRASION RESISTANT |
| HALAR® |
|
Halar®fluoropolymer is a thermoplastic
copolymer of ethylene and chlorotri-
fluoroethylene that offers excellent chemical and abrasion
resistance, low permeability, good electrical properties, and
broad use temperature range (cryogenic to 300° F). Applied by
electrostatic coating techniques, Halar® is the preferred coating
for use in the chemical handling industry, being unaffected by
substances such as strong mineral and oxidizing acids, alkalies,
metal etchants, liquid oxygen, nitrogen tetroxide, and all organic
solvents except hot amines. Halar® is attacked by metallic sodium
and potassium. Halar® fluropolymer is not wetted by water, but oils and hydrocarbons
readily spread on its surface. |

| KYNAR® |
| Kynar® (Polyvinylidene fluoride) imparts superior
chemical, abrasion and impact resistance to substrates. With a tensile strength of 575
kg/cm2 (8000 psi) and a high dielectric constant, Kynar® is the lubricant of choice
for many applications. The use temperature range is from -40° F to 300° F. It is nontoxic and
conforms to FDA requirements
for articles intended for use in contact with food. It shows excellent stability to UV and
gamma radiation. |
| NYLON |
EPOXY |
| Nylon coatings bring wear, abrasion,
impact and corrosion resistance to steel, aluminum and magnesium alloys.
Multiple colors are available for both industrial and consumer applications. |
Epoxy coatings
applied by electrostatic spray deposition, produce a uniform
coating thickness and can decorate and protect almost any substrate
that can withstand temperatures of 300° F to 425° F. Special
formulations can be developed for color, glass or texture requirements. |

Teflon® coatings provide acid, wear and corrosion
resistance to many types of components. Its nonstick, easy to clean properties prevent residue buildup
and produce higher performance parts. Teflon coatings spray on like paint and bake to a tough, inert
finish and have gained acceptance in a wide range of industrial applications. |

| DYKOR™ |
| Dykor™ coatings are based on high order thermoplastic
fluoropolymer (Polyvinylidine - PVF2) resins. Dykor™
coating materials
are excellent chemical barriers and are resistant to most acids, bases, oxidizing
agents and halogens. Dykor™ coatings will not chip, crack, or peel even when mechanically abused.
The useful temperature range is -80° F to 300° F. When pigmented, Dykor™ retains its color and gloss for periods of 20 years or more even in chemical laden atmospheres. |
